Privacy and terms
We only collect what you give us, we never sell it, and you can ask us to delete it any time. Last updated 19 October 2026.
Privacy Policy
1. Who we are
Slate ("we", "us") is the trading name of Slate Digital, a business registered in Singapore with the Accounting and Corporate Regulatory Authority (ACRA), UEN 53533845K. Slate Digital operates slate.sg. This policy explains how we collect, use, disclose and protect personal data in line with Singapore's Personal Data Protection Act 2012 (PDPA).
2. What we collect
When you use our free audit form, pop-up or contact form, we collect the details you type in: your name, email address, business name, website address and message. If you message us on WhatsApp or email, we receive your phone number or email address and whatever you send. We also record which form the enquiry came from and the time it was sent. We do not ask for NRIC numbers, payment details or other sensitive data through this website.
3. How we use your data
We use your details to respond to your enquiry, prepare and send your free website audit, send you the Slate email you requested, give you quotes, and deliver services you hire us for. We may also contact you about our services where you have asked us to or agreed to hear from us. We do not sell your personal data.
4. Consent
By submitting a form on this website you consent to us collecting, using and disclosing your personal data for the purposes above. You can withdraw consent at any time by emailing foyshal@slate.sg. Withdrawing consent may mean we can no longer provide some services to you.
5. Who we share data with
We use trusted service providers to run the website and our communications: Google (Google Sheets, Google Apps Script and email delivery) to store enquiries and send emails, Vercel to host the website, GitHub to store the website's code, Google Fonts to display text, and Meta (Facebook and Instagram) to measure and show our ads (see section 6). These providers process data on our behalf. We may also disclose data where required by law. We do not share your details with anyone else for their own marketing.
6. Cookies and browser storage
We run our own simple, anonymous analytics to see which pages are useful and which buttons people use: the pages you view, the buttons and links you click, how far you scroll, how long a page stays open, whether a form was sent (never what you typed in it), your device type, browser, screen size, language, time zone, the website that sent you and how fast pages load. To tell visits apart, your browser keeps a random id in local storage. We do not store your IP address and do not combine this data with anything that identifies you. It is kept for up to 14 months. You can clear it at any time by clearing this site's data in your browser. Your browser's storage is also used to remember that you have already seen or closed the pop-up. Google Fonts may receive your IP address when fonts load.
We also use the Meta Pixel, a tool from Meta Platforms (the company behind Facebook and Instagram), so we can measure our ads and show them to people who have visited this site. It sets a Meta cookie (_fbp) and tells Meta which pages you view and when you send a form or tap WhatsApp, phone or email. Meta receives your IP address and browser details, and may receive a scrambled (hashed) copy of the email or phone number you enter in a form, which it uses to match the visit to a Facebook or Instagram account. Meta handles this under its own privacy policy. You can control the ads you see in your Facebook or Instagram ad preferences, or block third-party cookies in your browser.
7. Overseas transfers
Some of our providers store data on servers outside Singapore. Where this happens, we take reasonable steps to make sure your data is protected to a standard comparable to the PDPA.
8. How long we keep data
We keep enquiry details only as long as needed to respond to you and for as long as we are working together, plus a reasonable period afterwards for records and legal purposes. If you ask us to delete your data, we will do so unless the law requires us to keep it.
9. How we protect data
Access to our enquiry records is limited to the site owner and protected by account security measures. The website is served over HTTPS. No system is perfectly secure, so we cannot guarantee absolute security, but we take reasonable steps to protect your data.
10. Your rights
You can ask us to tell you what personal data we hold about you, to correct it, or to delete it, and you can withdraw your consent. Email foyshal@slate.sg and we will respond within a reasonable time, normally within 30 days.
11. Marketing emails
Emails we send you after an audit request or enquiry include a way to opt out. You can reply with the word "unsubscribe" to foyshal@slate.sg at any time and we will not email you again.
12. Children
This website is intended for business owners and is not directed at children. We do not knowingly collect personal data from anyone under 13.
13. Third-party links
This website links to other sites, such as client websites, Instagram, LinkedIn and WhatsApp. We are not responsible for their privacy practices, so please read their policies.
14. Changes to this policy
We may update this policy from time to time. The latest version will always be on this page with the date it was last updated.
15. Contact us
For questions, requests or complaints about your personal data, contact Foyshal at foyshal@slate.sg or WhatsApp +65 8954 7914.
Terms and policies
No lock-in policy
There is no lock-in period, no minimum term and no exit fees. You can pause or stop our services at any time by telling us. You own your website, domain, social accounts and ad accounts from day one, and we will hand over access to anything we built for you if you leave.
Ten-week guarantee terms
Before a campaign launches, we agree a measurable target with you in writing. If we have not beaten that target ten weeks after the launch date, we continue working at no charge until we do. The guarantee applies to the agreed scope of work, assumes you provide the access, content and approvals we need on time, and does not cover results affected by changes you make outside what we agreed.
Free audit
The free audit is a short written review provided without charge or obligation. It is general guidance based on what we can see publicly and does not guarantee any particular result.
Fees and payment
Fees are quoted in writing after the free audit and agreed before work begins. There are no hidden charges. Payment terms are set out in each quote.
Use of this website
The content on this website is provided for general information. Do not copy or reuse our text, designs or code without permission. You agree not to misuse the website or its forms, for example by submitting false details or attempting to disrupt it.
Liability
While we take care to keep information accurate and our services reliable, we provide the website and general information as is. To the extent allowed by law, we are not liable for indirect or consequential losses. Nothing here limits liability that cannot be limited by law.
Governing law
These policies are governed by the laws of Singapore, and the courts of Singapore have jurisdiction over any dispute.
